Some Sundays are made for slow living, soft sounds, warm plates, and golden light. Nostalgia, our mid-winter Sunday Soirée Brunch, is designed for just that.
Set in Bvumbwe at the effortlessly stylish Makoli Restaurant, this is more than just a brunch, it’s a curated escape into memory, flavour, rhythm and community. Whether you’re a Soirée regular or attending for the first time, Nostalgia welcomes you to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the soft life with no apologies.
The Flow
From 11:45AM – 2:30PM, guests will enjoy a chef-led brunch experience paired with bottomless mimosas and sangria. This first part of the day is fully ticketed and includes your meal, drinks, and curated vibe.
After 2:30PM, the afternoon opens up into a more relaxed session of post-brunch tapas, a cash bar, and a refined soundtrack of nostalgic mixes, afrobeats, deep house, and semi-live afro-house sets. The music is mood-matching, never overwhelming. Expect smooth transitions, lush grooves, and feel-good nostalgia.
Food & Drink
Makoli and The Sunday Soirée have co-created a two-part brunch experience:
- Brunch (11:45AM – 2:30PM)
A seasonal, soulful spread with African roots and global finesse. Served alongside bottomless sangrias and mimosas.
- Tapas & Cash Bar (2:30PM – 6:00PM)

Getting There
We highly recommend carpooling or taking a taxi. Parking is available, but space is limited. If you’re coming from Lilongwe or Blantyre, please plan accordingly for traffic and road conditions.
